My wife and I had a 3 day stay in Edinburgh then flying out of Glasgow. We had not planned on visiting the Highlands, but then started to feel regret of coming all this way and not at least getting a glimpse of the Highlands.
So on our last night in Edinburgh I was googling car tours/rentals with a driver trying to find just a four hour tour. Everyone was either booked, needed a 24hour notice, or wanted to do an 8 hour trip. Then I found Elate Scotland and emailed my inquiry at 1:00am.
At 7am I had a response that Elate could not only provide a customized tour to the Highlands from Glasgow, but the driver would pick us up in Edinburgh, drive us for the tour and drop us at our Glasgow Hotel!!!!
Our driver was Duncan and he was AMAZING!!! I didn’t know where to go and he asked us some questions about preferences, then he created a circular route and had a bunch of spots to stop for pictures, pulled over whenever we wanted, and was so kind and informative about the Scottish Highlands. He was familiar with the area and took us to some amazing sites!! Duncan is an amazing ambassador for Scotland and was a wonderful tour guide!
